Dr. M. Ashok is a highly experienced and accomplished educator with a proven track record of success in leadership roles. He is a strategic thinker with a strong focus on results. He is also an effective communicator and collaborator who is able to build relationships and get things done. Dr. M. Ashok is passionate about education and is committed to providing students with the best possible learning experience. His innovative academic leadership focused on engaging with students and educators to meet learning objectives and drive students’ all-round progress

He is a Technocrat with exposure to academics and Research. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science and Technology from Sri Krishna Devaraya University in Digital Image Processing in the year 2012. He has done his MTech. in Computer Science from JNTU, Anantapur and B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Sri Krishna Devaraya University.

At the academic end, he worked at Sri Sai Jyothi Engineering College as the head of the department, CSE from 2005 to 2012, and as the principal from 2012 to 2017. He has successfully completed his tenure as principal at Malla Reddy Institute of Engineering and Technology from 2017-2023.

He is the recipient of Bhishma Acharya (Principal) by Bharat Education Excellence Award 2022. He also received the EET CRS Education Expo Award from the researcher and the best Teacher Award from SSJ Engineering College, Hyderabad. He was nominated for Social Media Champion by MHRD, New Delhi.

Dr. Ashok has published 7 books and 43 research articles in various reputed journals. He has also 5 patents publications in his profile. He has organized many Conferences, workshops, and FDPs. Presently, he is guiding three PhD Scholars under JNTUH and guided many M. Tech. Students at JNTUH, his research interests are in the fields of Image Processing, Data mining, and OS. He was instrumental in materializing many MOUs between Academic Institutes and industries; and he has established Laboratories and Services. He has also received several grants from national and international sponsors. He has been invited to various colleges to deliver lectures and keynote addresses.

He is an Editorial Board Member and Reviewer of ICETETS, NCARSE - International Conference. He is a Professional Member of IETE – India, ISTE-India, CSI-India, IAENG-Hong Kong, HSERF-USA, CSTF-USA and so on.

Dr. M. Ashok has a kind and approachable demeanour, and he maintains a healthy and productive relationship with all stakeholders, including students, parents, employees, management, and other stakeholders. He encourages the faculty and students to succeed in their endeavours.
